The baby officially has a crib! Michael did a great job putting it together, although, he said it would have been a more efficient process had he not just enjoyed some beverages. Still, we got it done.
Our crib is the Nursery 101 Sidney Convertible Crib.
We only came across one problem. The back top of the crib was missing some drill holes. I don't really know how that happens, but it will have to be fixed before Baby gets here. Michael says it won't be complicated. Still, that was a little annoying. Other than that, the crib was fairly easy to put together. It took us a total of about one hour. I would not have wanted to put it together by myself. I would have gotten frustrated.
I'm really in love with the bedding. It took a long time to find something I liked. I am not big into having characters, birds, or anything boring. I really love the shabby chic look. Also, the bedding had to somewhat coordinate with our guest bedding, since we only have a two bedroom house. The nursery will have to have a bed in it for visitors. So, it doesn't match perfectly, but the two beddings look like they are from the same family. Also, this bedding was way less expensive that most of the other bedding I saw, including Target. Our bedding can be found Baby Super Mall.
Just kidding! This is great fun.
Stella was a great supervisor.
It's coming together!
Success! What a great dad!
The nursery is looking more like a nursery!
Everything is still wrinkly. I'm sure when baby gets here in three months, it'll be a lost smoother.
I'm really in love with the bedding!
What baby wouldn't want to live here!?
I can't get over what a blessing all of this is. I truly struggle to not break out into tears every time we do something for the baby. Tonight was no exception. I just feel so incredibly lucky to be experiencing this. Now, she just needs to get here! :)

Michael and I recently had our first experience at the KidsTown Consignment Event at the Agricenter.
Thankfully, I had adequately been prepared for how big and crazy this sale would be. There are thousands of items to choose from.
We started by checking out the car seats, strollers, and bigger items. There were a couple of decent items, but I'm really wanting those items new. Especially the car seat.
So, we jumped over the clothes. Michael was such a good sport. And so adorable. I was choking back tears the whole time. It was just so sweet to see him picking out clothes for his little girl.
We brought two tote bags. Other people had other ideas...
Our loot of clothing. We also picked up several books and a bassinet.
We've got to remember that a Honda Civic doesn't usually work well for transporting large items. This bassinet was my favorite find.
Here's the line to check out.
A couple of weekends ago Michael and I had "date night" at River Oaks Restaurant.
It's on the 100 Things to Eat in Memphis list.
Michael's mom bought me some super cute maternity skinny jeans that I had been dying to wear. I actually felt pretty hot for the first time in a while. The black camouflages the bump, but I promise it's there.
I cannot recall ever having been to this restaurant before, but my mom said she thought we went to some birthday party here or something once. Anyway, it felt like a new experience to me! The restaurant was mostly made up of East Memphis WASP types. I don't think anyone in there was struggling with money!
The prices on the menu also shed some light on the customers.
Michael and I both got this soup. I don't remember what it was called. But I think it was some sort of corn and crab bisque. It was DELISH!
I got the duck two ways. I liked the way shown on the left way better than the way on the right.
The dish that's on the list is the Mojo Chocolate Chip Cookie with Ice Cream.
It's a cute little set up and I enjoyed it, but I do feel like it could have been better. Maybe it needed to be a little warmer. Maybe there needed to be more ice cream. I'm not sure. I also wish I had ordered coffee with it.
There is a neat little story that goes along with the cookie. Read below.
Overall, the only dish to write home about was the bisque, however, if I was in the mood for just dessert, I would head back here and have the Mojo cookie again with coffee. Also, this place is pretty overpriced.
